The Team England Footballers Charity will support the PFA’s Trust Fund that has been set up to invest into charity initiatives including:
• Building a dedicated rehabilitation unit for the new Manchester Children’s Hospital
• The Benevolent Fund for former players facing financial hardship
• The Education Fund for current and former players seeking vocational qualifications to prepare for a career after retirement from playing
• The Accident Fund for players whose careers have ended due to injury and former players requiring medical treatment in their later years
The PFA have also pledged significant financial support over the next 3 years to the Premier League / PFA Community fund and the Football League Trust (Community Fund) to enhance Community initiatives in areas such as Health, Education, Social Inclusion, and Equalities.
The ‘One Goal, One Million’ trust fund is a charity registered by the Professional Footballer’s Association Trust Fund (registration number 1118961).
